I am very fortunate to have chosen a profession that is as fulfilling as dentistry. It’s a blend of medicine and art. The human body is an amazing organism, where all systems affect the functions of the entire body. This is something we try to instill in our patients — that what happens in their mouth affects their whole body’s health. I am devoted to preserving health; the first link is good oral health. The perk for patients is a longer life and a smile that they can proudly show off.
The clinical aspect of dentistry aside, the people are what make this profession so rewarding. I love people and enjoy hearing their stories, and I have a ball with the kids! Our goal is to make dentistry a pleasant — even enjoyable — experience for all patients. Phobic or not, we want our patients to feel confident in their smile
I grew up in a small town outside of Rochester, New York. After graduating from high school in New Jersey, I attended West Liberty State College and earned my Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in 1982. After practicing for several years in Pittsburgh, I continued my dental education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. In 1995, I joined Dr. Glenn Oliver in private practice.
I am active in many dental study clubs and organizations including the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, Seattle Study Club, Zimmer Dental, Nobel Biocare, Patterson Dental, Allergan, Six Month Smiles®, Glidewell/Snore Guards, Colgate, Delta Dental, Aetna Insurance, and Cigna Insurance to name a few. I also served on the board of directors for the Columbus Dental Society.
At home, I have two dogs named Rocky and Simon. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and traveling, when possible, to explore local traditions, wine, and cuisine.
